Gena Buckingham Toner has been practicing Marital & Family Law for over 35 years and has been Board-Certified in this area since 2001. Out of approximately 100,000 attorneys in Florida, only about 250 are Board-Certified by the Florida Bar in Marital & Family Law. In addition to her Board Certification, Gena is also a certified Family Law mediator, giving her extensive experience in both courtrooms and mediation rooms.
Gena’s dual expertise as a Board-Certified Family Law Attorney and a certified Family Law mediator allows her to offer clients a comprehensive approach to resolving family law issues. Gena earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Florida in 1983, followed by a Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law in 1986. She has lived in Florida since the 1970s and has been a member of The Florida Bar since 1986. Her legal career has taken her across the state, from the Florida Keys to Tallahassee, and now to courts in Pasco, Hernando, and Citrus counties. Although Gena has worked in various legal fields, including criminal law and construction contract law, she found her true calling in Marital & Family Law and has been in private practice since 1995.
Gena is deeply committed to the community, demonstrated by her involvement in local organizations. She has been a proud member of the North Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce and has served on the board of directors for the United Way of Hernando County and the Girl Scouts of West Central Florida Council. She supports victims of domestic violence through her past work with CASA (Citrus County Abuse Shelters Association, Inc.) and her current position on the board of directors of the Dawn Center, Hernando County’s Domestic Violence Center.

Stormy is a Brooksville native who works from home. She enjoys walking on the computer keyboard and giving her legal opinions. Her favorite hobby is birdwatching.
Maxie is a Bichon Frise and Shih Tzu mix who lives in Crystal River. She is a part-time worker in the Billing department, so you might see her smiling face in the office. Maxie stays behind a closed glass door so there are no allergy concerns. The thing she likes most is napping.
